Primitive Folk Art Raggedy Doll Mother Stitchery


Well, I did manage to make a Mother's Day dolly, though I nearly ran out of time! LOL! This will be a shorter auction so you can still get her in time for Mothers Day.

Annie measures 23" head to toes and made from stained muslin. She wears a burgundy, navy and tan plaid homespun dress with a drop waist and little gathered sleeves. The bloomers are a neat tonal mustard Honey & Me cotton print with prim stars and little curly Q's.

Her collar is aged muslin with primitive stitchin' around the edge. All the hems on her dress and bloomers have a nice finished edge and all clothing has been stained. Her face is primly hand stitched on and her hair is barn red wavy wool yarn stitched into pigtails with a ragbow on each side.

I gave her head a slight tilt to give her a sweet look. Her arms are string jointed, so they will move up and down. Her leggings and mary jane shoes are painted on in prim fashion, then sanded and stained. Her feet have a more 3-dimensional look to them. I gave her a boxed bottom and weighted it gently so she will sit nicely. I also gave her a sturdy loop in her back if you prefer to hang her for display instead. She will come to you signed and dated by me.

The stitchery I wanted to resemble a miniature wall hanging quilt. It measures 9" tall and a little over 8" wide. It reads "Mother. . . . A person hand chosen by God that shows unending love and compassion to the miracle He blessed you with that lasts a lifetime". The border around the stitchery is matching homespun and the "quilt" backing is a different coordinating navy, burgundy and tan cotton homespun. I did some hand stitching on both sides of the seam all the way around. It has been stained for an aged look. I am also including the wire heart hanger to go with it. The quilt has heavy cotton thread loops in the back that tie to the hanger for display and can be removable if you wish. The hanger measures 7 1/2 " tall and 7 1/4" wide.
Annie was made using a Sweetmeadowsfarm pattern and the stitchery was made using a pattern from Twigs-n-Sprigs.
My dollies are "pretties" for adult decoration only and not intended to be a children's toy.

WELCOME PRIM FRIENDS TO MY AUCTION FOR THIS SWEET CHIC AND SHABBY PRIM DOLL. i NAMNED HER ~~~~ ROSIE~~~~. SHE IS VERY PRECIOUS. SHE IS 17 INCHES TALL AND MADE WOTH PLENTY OF TLC. SHE IS MADE OF FINE MUSLIN THAT HAS BEEN TEA DYED. ONLY THE BEST STUFFING WAS USED FOR HER BODY AND THE BOTTOM IS FILLED WITH HALF A CUP OF PLASTIC PELLETS SO SHE WILL SIT BETTER.

LETS START WITH HER HAIR, WHICH IS 100% PINK WOOL THAT I HANDSTITCHED ONTO HER HEAD. I ALSO ADDED A BOW ON EACH SIDE OF HER PIGTAILS THAT MATCHES HER DRESS. HER FACE IS ALL EMBROIDERED EXCEPT FOR HER EYES, THEY ARE BLACK MATTE BUTTONS THAT I HANDSTITCHED ON. I DRY BRUSHED HER CHEEKS WITH PAINT IN GYPSY ROSE.

HER DRESS IS A FINE MATERIAL IN A PINK FLORAL PATTERN WITH TINY RHINESTONES ALL OVER IT. JUST PERFECT FOR THAT CHIC LOOK. I USED THE SAME MATERIAL FOR HER LOONS. I GATHERED THEM AT THE WAIST AND SECURED THEM AND ADDED A BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE. THE DRESS IS GATHERED AT THE NECKLINE AND I ADDED A PINK BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE AND SECURED IT WITH PINK FLOSS.I THEN TIED A PIECE OF SATIN RIBBON AROUND HER WAIST.

HER LEGS HAVE PAINTED PINK STRIPED SOCKS AND I SANDED THEM LIGHTLY TO SMOOTH THEM OUT AND AGE THEM.

THE BACK OF THE DOLL IS SIGNED DATED AND NUMBERED BY ME AS I HAVE SHOWED YOU IN THE PICTURE. I THEN ADDED A PRIM LITTLE SHABBY TAG. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT MOTHER'S DAY GIFT OR A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION OF RAGGEDY DOLLS.

Primitive Raggedy Uncle Sam Door Doll/ Wall Hanger

Thank you for stopping by! I just made really cute Door Doll! I made this cute Raggedy Uncle Sam doll using a pattern
from Patti's Ratties. It's about 15 inches from top of his hat to bottom of his body.

His head is made of tea dyed muslin,
his hat and clothes are from cotton fabric. I used black beads for his eyes, red felt for nose, and chenille yarn for his
hair, eyebrows and mustache. American flag is handmade by me too. It is not attched to Uncle Sam.

Primitive Strawberry Ornies Fillers Tucks


Thanks for taking a peek at my newest creation. This auction is for all 18 HC Strawberries, and the adorable Colander. The Strawberries are made by me, using my own design. I made them from a red fabric with tiny dots. They are sewn, and firmly stuffed. The tops are made from colorwashed muslin. I used real sticks for the stems. The Strawberries are very realistic in size. They measure 1 1/2" wide by 2 or 2 1/2" tall, not including the stem. When they were complete, I stained and baked them to give them that old look we all love. The Colander is 8".

I placed some green moss in the bottom, and put the strawberries on top. A great idea would be to place a small string of electric lights in the bottom with the moss and berries on top.

The lights would shine through the holes. The lights are available an most dollar stores. I have left everything loose to make it easy to ship and store.
My strawberries are scented with Strawberry Jam scent.
This little grouping would look great sitting in a Prim or Vintage cupboard, on the Kitchen counter, shelf, or table. The ideas are endless.

PRIMITIVE PATRIOTIC RAGGEDY ANN DOLL/ APRON

This auction is for a handmade tea dyed primitive Raggedy Ann doll and her pillow ornie. Annie is 18" tall.

Her dress is very patriotic with little stars on blue background. Annie also has an apron in red and white gingham with an appliqued star and a red star button in the center.

Her bloomers are muslin her shoes are midnite blue with laces..her legs have painted stripes.
Annie's prim face is stitched , her eyes are buttons ..her hair is burgundy wool yarn hair with a bow on each side of her head.
The 5'x5" pillow ornie is made using the same fabric as Annie's dress with a center piece with stitched words that say.... One Nation Under God.... I attached curly wire into the ornie for her to hold it. A red and white bow is attached .

This auction is for a handmade tea dyed 17" Raggedy Ann doll and her handmade kitty.

Her dress is a pretty yellow calico background with teeny yellow flowers. Her skirt is very full with pale yellow lace all around the bottom. Her pantaloons are the same yello calico fabric as her dress.

I painted Annie's shoes lemon and added a coat of sparkle and a rhinestone button on each side. Her sweet prim face is stitched her eyes are buttons and she has stitched fingers.
Her hair is pale yellow crinkly yarn with a big green calico bow matching her kitty. The kitty is 4"x 6" handmade from light green calico with a big bow around his neck matching Annie! .

Primitive Americana Star and crow door hanger


This is made from a Tennessee ridge primitives pattern...I just love this pattern! This star is 16 inches tall total with the crow...the star is hand stitched inbetween each red and white stripe...the stars in the blue have been hand stitched on and each point of the star has a hand stitched on rusted bell. The "USA" banner has been attached with 2 rusted saftey pins to give it that rustic touch!
The crow is 7 inches alone and is nestled up by the top of the star in his "nest" of moss. There is a piece of wire to hang it up. It has been stained and sprinkled with cinnamon and baked to achieve the "primitive" look.

Hand Painted Eye Glass Case Artist Signed

I just love the bright colors on this bright spring case for your eye glasses. It measures 6 inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide.These are the perfect size for a stocking stuffers. It will fit nicely in a purse also.



I have been carving for about 10 years and painting for about 15 years. I was fortunate enough
when I first started to have excellent teachers. Carole Taylor was my first painting teacher
and Sandi Zickuhr-Jacobson taught me to carve. When I first learned to carve, I always used
a pattern,but now I just use my imagination and the wood piece.
I always carve in the full round.All my pieces are carved either on textile spools,sugar pine,
or white pine. Occationally I find a unique piece such as an old spindle or table leg, fish
floats, or lobster bouys that just cry out for something to be carved on them, usually it is a Santa.



Each piece is unique, being hand carved and hand painted, no two are ever exactly alike. I
have just started to sign and date my carvings as I was requested to do.I use an acrylic guache
to paint each piece, then I antique them using an antiquing medium and either oil paint or
sometimes I use the acrylic guache to antique with. It takes as much time to paint and finish
a piece as it does to carve it.These make wonderful additions to any Santa collection. They
also make a great gift for the collector who has everything, or a nice hostess gift too.

2 Primitive Crow Door Dolls*Beehive w/Bees*Heart*


Frist doll is Primitive Beehive and bees with crow. This door doll is about 10 inches tall.

It is made from coffee stained muslin, I color washed it "paint"
with coffee/vanila mixture, then put it in the oven, rubbed extra cinnamon!! Beehive has hand sculpted lines( can't really
see in the picture but I did!) , the hole is made of osnaburg fabric, I painted with black paint, then hand stitches in place.
Crow's beak is hand sculpted, his eye is french knot with embroidery floss.

I made 2 bees. I used rusty wire, stitched one end
to the back of the bee and stitched another end to the back of the beehive so he looks like flying.

Another bee is hand stitched in the front of the beehive. I made antennas and stingers with rusty wire. They have coffee stained cheese cloth wings.


This is the second doll. I made heart from coffee stained muslin, added red
cotton fabric to it. I "painted" a lot of coffee mixture, then baked it, off course, I rubbed extra ground cinnamon!

Crow's beak is hand sculpted, french knot for the eye. They will be a nice primitive decoration in your home! The are coming
from smoke free/ pet free home! They are designed by Tennesee Ridge Primitives and created by me!

PRIMITIVE RAGGEDY KITTY CAT DOLL FOLK ART

Welcome, I just made this adorable 18" tall Kitty for my ebay group Launch. She is made from a black tone on tone (floral) print. I just love how she turned out. I used a golden print, and a sunflower floral for her outfit.

She is firmly stuffed. I hand painted her feet bottoms, face, and ears. She has a handstitched nose, wiskers, bead eyes, eyebrows, and mouth. I added a matching bow on her head.

This cutie is all stitched, with no glue. I added some vintage buttons to her apron. I almost forgot to tell! She has hand sculpted paws.
