Primitive Easter Bunny Penny Rug/Candle Mat
Up for auction is this Easter Bunny Penny Rug/Candle Mat just in time for Easter. I just love how it came out and I’m sure you will too! It would look beautiful on any table top to welcome Easter into your home. A candle, vase or figurine placed in the center would look great.
This handmade penny rug/candle mat is made with felted wool (not craft felt). 
Everything on this rug has been hand-stitched. The felt used on the background of this penny rug is plum (as well as the backing). The 5 bunnies are made from white felt with pink felt for cheeks, rose-colored felt for noses and light and dark gray felt used to make the bow ties. The details of each face have been stitched with black floss and each bunny has two small back buttons used for eyes. Twenty-two tongues with pennies in alternating colors of plum and pink were placed around the edges. This piece measures approximately 19 inches across.
I am the designer and it is an original piece made with care in my smoke-free home.
