Hi there. . .
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my handmades ...
* Wicked Olde Hallowe'en Witch and her Cat Wand *
She is sewn from aged muslin and measures 27 inches from the bend in her hat to the bottoms of her feet....... Her arms are wired so they are gently poseable. I wired her wand to her arm for the pics cuz he's a bit heavy.
Her black cat-on-a-stick stands 11 inches tall...

She has very detailed facial features...her eyes, lips and mole are painted on, then shaded, highlighted and detailed with artist pencil. Her nose and eyelids are separate and sewn on. Her brows are drawn on and I've given her a bit of green 'eyeshadow' on her lids with both paint and pencil. She even has a 'dimpled' chin...
Her face has been sprayed with fixatif sealer for protection.
Her hat is made from black wool felt. I shaped and stiffened it and rubbed it with cinnamon to dirty it up some...It is trimmed with aged cheesecloth and a fine rust color tinsel garland and rusty bell stitched to the center...it is securely stitched to her head...

This is a great pic of her mouth and chin....that big nose of hers kinda gets in the way..LOL. For the tresses I used a curly, soft grey mohair and ivory mohair for the streaks...it is needlefelted around her entire head under her hat...

The view from the back....the loop you see is sturdy wire secured in her back if you choose to hang her for display...
Now for her outfit...

the bodice is a black cotton fabric which has been rubbed with cinnamon to grubby it up a bit. Her sleeves have finished hems with some prim stitchin....and stitched some silver wire tinsel around the neckline...
I have given her a cream and black woolen and stitched a rusty bell to the center. Her skirt is a wonderful tonal spiderweb cotton print with a finished hem and dirty, black chunky ric-rac.

Her bloomers are a black and tan check with finished hem and wired tinsel stitched to the bottom. Her leggins and boots are painted on in prim fashion and three rusty bells were stitched to the top of each boot.
What All Hallow's Eve witch is complete without a black cat??

Her kitty has a full, round head. He was sewn from painted sanded and stained muslin. His amber yellow eyes are painted on and detailed with pencil...he has separately stitched on eyelids and ears. His mouth, nose and brows are needlesculpted and his whiskers are thread. He is secured to an antique, dark oak textile mill bobbin. His ruffled collar is coordinating dirty black fabric and shredded cheesecloth. It is finished off with a bit of tinsel garland and a rusty bell stitched in the center...
This set was made by me using a pattern from Back Porch Pickins... Please let me know if you should have any questions about her....she would make a wonderful gift for a Halloween Collector, then she could be left out all year long...

All my handmades come to you signed and dated by me....
